Connection Intelligence for the Real World
We believe the most valuable connections happen in person. Mētan makes sure you never miss them.
Something Is Broken
For Individuals
We collect business cards we never follow up on. Our phones are full of contacts without context. We walk past people who could change our lives, and the best connections happen by accident, or not at all.
For Organizations
Events end and relationships disappear. Valuable introductions never get made. Engagement is measured, but connections aren't, and institutional knowledge walks out the door.
Today's technology optimizes for transactions, not relationships.
It's time for a different approach.
A Different Approach
Mētan is built on three principles that guide everything we do.
Context-Aware
We don't just show you who's nearby. We show you why you should meet them — and what could happen when you do.
Physical-First
We're not another social network. We're a layer for the real world — activating when you're at events, venues, and spaces that matter.
Relationship-Persistent
Connections don't end when you leave. Every relationship you build stays with you, growing richer over time.
Built for Everyone
From individuals to enterprises, Mētan scales to how you connect.

The Story Behind Mētan
Mascha's path to tech wasn't conventional. For over two decades, she built a career in fashion and creative direction, working on editorials for elite publications like Harper's Bazaar and Vogue, and global campaigns for brands like Burberry, Theory, Nike, and many more while living in London, New York, and Los Angeles.
But she never bought into social media. Even when the platforms first emerged, something felt off. Calling it "social" while it kept people staring at screens, isolated. When she discovered Tristan Harris's work on technology ethics, everything clicked. Someone was finally articulating what she'd always felt.
So she decided to build something different. It took over two years and countless collaborations to create her first networking platform, one designed to bring people together in person, not keep them apart online. The work earned a U.S. utility patent, overwriting an earlier Ericsson patent, and the platform was used at elite events including gatherings at the United Nations.
Then, just as she secured a partnership with the organizers of UN events, the pandemic hit. Years of work and personal investment vanished overnight.
Most people would have walked away. Mascha started over.
Mētan 2.0 is built for a new era. More intelligent, more capable, and designed from the ground up with AI at its core. It's the product of everything she learned the first time, rebuilt for where technology is going.
